I have £10 51 credit on an iTunes giftcard and am trying to buy a download for £9 99 butit wont lt me. I have been in touch with Apple support and they say the reason is that there are taxes to be paid which takes the cost to over my £10 51. On the first purchase i made i paid £4 49 which was the price on the item so i assumed that what you see is what you pay was i wrong in this assumption. As anyone else had a similar experience?.

When did you make your first purchase?

Apple have charged VAT @ 21% (Irish rate) since Jan this year, before that I don't believe VAT had to be paid.

To BOO & Chuckfickens Sorry about the tardiness in replying but events overtook me. Problem sorted it was an out of date credit card used as backup for any purchases. Incidently there was no tax to pay and the download was £2 .00 cheaper so not to bad. Thank you both for your prompt replies.
