A year ago

A year ago today things started to really turn around for me, after 7 months redundant, I was offered a job. Still absolutely love it, have just started my level 3 business and administration and life is great!
What were you doing a year ago and what have you achieved?

Really boring stuff.
Grew some raspberries. Got lots of olives on my olive tree. Learned some Italian. Finished some knitting. Read lots of books. Spoiled my grandchildren. Broke my daughter's kettle. Went to the cinema and the theatre on my own. Revisited the Welsh Marches.
Hope things get better for all with problems.

12 months ago i only suffered with parkinsons which the drugs kept uner control, in fact it was only little things that showed it up. 6 months ago i began to feel ill and the parkis more pronounced, tests showed bowel cancer which meant the fitting of a stoma and chemotherapy at christies, the treatment seems to working as i am now able to go out without the parki shuffle and more importantly the chemo seems to be working, i have a scan on 11 th of october to if the tumor is shrinking, some of replies to your posts may sound a bit flippant for this i apoloigise but it does help.

Owdhammer best of luck with your treatment. My sis had bowel cancer she has had the stoma reversed now and been given the all clear. Its a very worrying time for you hope your scan is OK.
