I like to understand answers - Bingo I found and am cross with myself as I nearly looked up bingo and didn't! Riege I cannot find in Collins, Chambers or Encarta or a google search. Can you tell me where I can find this word?
www.paeo.de/h1/hand_maz/pioneer/ch12.html

right at the bottom of the page are these words.

I found it by typing I 'a low transverse ridge of bedrock' and it was the first entry. Comes from the following book:
Heinrich Handel-Mazzetti: [A Botanical Pioneer In South West China] - chapter 12

Wow I am well impressed! I am no slouch at researching but that was well embedded! Which search engine did you use?

Bowing at the feet of the master!

I used ask jeeves - I have found it great for crosswords as normally I use Google but it is not so good for crosswords.
With Jeeves it recognises questions and phrases.

Hope this helps and you can get off your knees now.

Thanks
