I've never seen it on a menu until I googled - Auld Reekie to me is Edinburgh - but Google says there is an ‘Auld Reekie’ Cock-a-Leekie Soup
Edinburgh is known as Auld Reekie but never heard of it as being a main course on a Scottish menu. Cock a Leekie is a chicken and leek soup and that would be served as your first course not as a main. Where did you see it? I'm intrigued. Was there any deep fried Mars bars on the menu? They appear to be regarded as our (new) national dish instead of haggis...........
