Is there a product available that actually works to stop bathroom mirrors steaming up.

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.Try the previous ideas first (because they're cheap!) but if you're still seeking a product made specifically to prevent the misting up of glass surfaces then I can tell you that such products do exist. You might find it hard to get hold of them, though, if you're looking in supermarkets or hardware shops. The place to go is any car spares shop. (They sell the stuff to prevent the interior of windscreens misting up but it works just as well on mirrors - or spectacles!).

A more permanent solution would be to fit a heating element behind the mirror. They are fairly inexpensive and can be found at www.screwfix.co.uk.
If you were to have one of these fitted to come on when the bathroom light is switched on you'll never have misted up mirrirs again...
