Breakfast Muffins

I want to make some breakfast muffins - you know the ones that can cut in half and toast to make Eggs benedict etc, not those blinking stodgy cake things.

Everytime I do a search for "muffins" I get recipes for those cake things - can anyone recommend a nice recipe, please?

Typing 'English Muffins' may help.........that seems to separate the results from those ridiculous Blueberry (etc) thingys that our American Cousins have insisted on calling by the same name.

Sorry about those 'ridiculous...thingys'...but they are not new,and date back to the 19th c when the precursors of baking powder were discovered.
Maybe not as old as 'English muffins'...but the term 'muffin' still applies.
