Angle grinders.
12 Answers
I want to put up some tiles in the kitchen, this involves cutting tiles to fit around a cupboard and to cut tiles down to a size with a straight cut. I`ve been told to get an Angle grinder to cut out the shape/s....is that right and how does it work??

a 4.5 inch angle grinder would be easiest to use.

I have very successfully and cheaply used a diamond blade on a jigsaw.
I did my kitchen, and cut out holes for loads of double sockets and switches.
Hole drilled in each corner and cutout with the jigsaw. Curves are easy too.
Check out Topps Tiles or whoever you have locally.
It was much easier than I anticipated and no bother at al!

Many thanks to all who replied to my query.
I couldn`t find the recomended tile cutter by Screwfix and they didn`t have any in stock. So I took a look on Amazon.I found one made by Draper Tools, and it`s made in the U.K how about that!! It did the job to a T. A bit messy, noisy yes but I did the cutting in the green house. All the tiles are up and to day I finished cleaning them up after grouting, they look great.
