The lock on my locker is jammed. How do I open it?
7 Answers
The lock on my locker at work is jammed. I've broken two keys trying to open it. It will apparently take a contractor 3 weeks to come out (gotta love public services). The powers that be have said that they've got a spare lock, and if I want to remove the old lock myself, I can.... how would I go about it? Should I drill the lock? I want to avoid a crowbar in case I do irreparable damage to the door, but if the advice is to do so, I will.

If you can see the snib, the sticky-outey springy bit that goes into the keep.......... sometimes it's possible to get the blade of an angle grinder in there and cut it off (thin metal cutting disc ........ only about 1.5mm thick.
Otherwise, drill right into the keyhole until the levers loosen up (crude, I know)
