Outlook Express e.mail Groups

Hi All. I have been asked to return to my old job after 7 years in happy retirement. I am pretty sure that the e.mail contacts list has been tampered with! My problem is that I have several distribution Groups, but the members listed within those Groups are not in the individual contacts file - is there an easy way of duplicating the Group Members back into Contacts as well?

Also, when entering a 'new' e.mail address, the name appeared from the records, but when typing that same name into the e.mail To: box, it isn't offered as a suggestion.

Any ideas please?
