Hi MVP, sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. Have recently had a total knee replacement and was not able to sit at my desk to use my computer, due to pain. Thanks for that site. Unfortunately it didn't help. I have now send an email to microsoft customer services, so hopefully will hear back at some point.
wideboy, yes I do have sp2 for xp and all the updates are done automatically. Before I went into hospital a few weeks ago I had this problem loading the newest version of messenger live and did get an answer from microsoft customer services, but I can't find it now and was hoping someone else knew how to solve the problem. Due to an error I am having to reload the latest version and without the solution to this problem can't.
