Hi all ~ I keep getting the message 'internet explorer has modified this page to prevent cross scripting'. It's really beginning to bug me now, as it is starting to become the norm. Any ideas why this is happing & how I can prevent this happening? I am running Windows 7 and using IE9. Never had any issues with the old pc using XP and ie8.

Tools > Internet Options > Security > Custom Level
Scroll down to Scripting > Enable XSS Filter
Click to change the setting to 'Disable'
Click 'OK' and 'Yes'
Click 'Apply' and 'OK'

Yes, I've been getting it regularly since I upgraded to IE9, but it only seems to occur on Answerbank. I just cancel the message but sometimes it does freeze up my screen for maybe 20 seconds and it's frustrating when I'm trying to get a crossword answer in before bibblebub/Lie-in King etc get theirs in.
Someone did suggest a fix - maybe worth putting "cross scripting" in the AB search box.
Tools > Internet Options > Security > Custom Level
Scroll down to Scripting > Enable XSS Filter
Click to change the setting to 'Disable'
Click 'OK' and 'Yes'
Click 'Apply' and 'OK'

Chris ~ as awlays excellent advice, easily handled by a computer novice like me.
Worked a treat. Thank you :-)
Thanks Chris. I'll do that too.
Now I need to know how to prevent those "The Answerbank is not responding" messages
Chris, it doesn't work for us on IE9 - I went through the steps you describe, but we couldn't click Apply (it was greyed out). Any ideas?

Worked for me ~ and I'm running IE9. Followed the steps as decribed and since then haven't had that annoying message pop up :-) Yay way to go Chris!
