It could have been a deep railway cutting or maybe a valley. Any ideas?

Is this it?
Liverpool Crown Street station, closed 1972, now a public, landscaped park.

I think it's too flat. The park I remember seemed to have a ravine in it. The sides looked very steep. I was aged about 4 or 5 when I saw it and that was some 60 years ago.
