Car parking at Southampton docks

My wife and I are going mad and trying a cruise from Sothampton with Fred Olsen.


Can anybody advice on good value parking for 19days

Langton Cruise terminal is 'in the middle of nowhere'. You're effectively forced to use the Manpower car park, at £7 per night:

(18 x £7 = £136).

Associated British Ports want £172 for 18 nights (based upon the assumption that you're on the Black Watch departure on 26th November).

Southampton Port Parking is marginally cheaper (at £132) but, given that you're not using Fred Olsen's designated partner, you might have to wait around quite some time for a shuttle bus:

Parking in the city centre wouldn't work out much cheaper. For example, parking at Southampton Central rail station would cost you £99 but you'd then have to pay for a taxi in each direction.

FO sometimes offer free parking at Southampton - check with them whether it's available. Also, they have a Portlink coach service from some regions to get you there.

Les - why not blow your savings on return rail tickets? Then it's just bus or taxi from preston. Plus you aren't driving back all that way whilst cream-crackered.

Thank you all for advice. Finally settled for £6.50 a day with free transport to and from the car park to the dock
