Vehicles First MOT

We have a van that was first registered on 03.10.08.

Should it have had it's first MOT by 03.10.2011?


I had at some point set up a reminder for myself in outlook to get it MOT'd but it's only just popped up today so I'm a bit worried it's being driven round illegally now.

I wouldn't admit that if I were you. Get an appointment for an MOT today, preferably an appointment for today. You know how today's world is, if the authorities can, they'll stamp down on you, no matter how decent a citizen you are, because it's easier to go for the good guys and show they're doing something than it is to be reasonable. Get it sorted and maybe no one will have noticed.

Your tax disc reminder will tell you that you need an MOT if the dates coincide.

I renewed the Tax disc at the end of September, it was due October 1st so in that fine.

You sneaked in under the radar. get it MOT'd asap and keep a look out for ANPR vans and cars.
