well done smurf at least you got some good answers and they confirm what I have. I posted a list of three but unfortunately got no joy except boxtop did ask me for an example which I posted but unfortunately have heard nothing.
Keep gpong - its not that easy.
Does the clue for 11 say Poole or pool?
factor30 - when it's been asked in other questions it is the Poole spelling, and so the island is Brownsea, which without the sea, gives Brown as the surname
Thanks. So we need 'wings of a dove'.
All I can think of is the letters DE (the extremes of dove) but I do n'tknow of a De Brown or a Ed Brown.

Singers called Brown (Browne): Bobby Brown, Jackson Browne, Ian Browne?
^ ...Jocelyn Brown, Joe Brown, Chris Brown, James Brown, Rosie Brown, Polly Brown..
Could be James Brown as Henry JAMES wote the book Wings of a Dove
^ close but maybe not, as the book by James was actually called Wings of the Dove
11. Ferlin Huskey ?

He sang Wings of a Dove and there's an island in Poole Harbour called Furzey Island.
