I just read a review of a book about Audrey Hepburn.

It suggested that "SO Audrey" was the ultimate compliment.

That's totally true, isn't it?

New little black dress? That's SO Audrey!

Great new haircut? That's VERY Audrey!

Ballet pumps? SO Audrey!

A generous spirit? SO Audrey of you!

Can there be any greater compliment ???

I wonder if ... "SO Jodie" ... will ever be quite the same ?

Yes lol :) I do love the Givenchy dress she wears.. the cut is so simple. I love the back of it, pure elegance.

In the movie of B at T, the producers tried hard to "hedge" around the "call girl" issue. Holly refers to "turning a trick" as "getting fifty dollars for the powder room, darling" (even though she habitually returns home at 5.00am, where the taxi drops her on 5th Avenue, outside Tiffany's).

but more than that, JJ.... can you really imagine someone who looks that divine actually being a call girl?

You might as well expect someone who looks like Mickey Rooney to be Japanese.

A bit of trivia for you ...

At the sart of B at T, Audrey wore two different dresses. One when she is looking in the window, which was cut to accentuate what few curves Audrey had, and a different one when she walks round the corner, which had more "give" in the legs ... so that Audrey would not end up doing a Marilyn Monroe "wiggley walk".
