Aww ... don't be so gwumpy.
Trick or treating is SO jolly. I get to go to my pals' Hallowe'en parties, even though I don't have children. The kids go out trick or treating, and then we have chilli, and burgers, and stacks of wine.
It would be a shame if my pals' kids came back soaked in loo water.

we've got 5-6 families on the estate with young kids who really go for it, getting all dressed up, playing all the silly tricks that young kids that age think are scary, and quite happy to get a handful of sweeties for their efforts. We've also got a bunch of teenage louts who think it funny to egg your windows or car if they don't get bought off. I usually greet them with Max at my side, I don't know why but they tend not to argue with him
