Trick or treaters

Well if they're particularly young possibly... but otherwise game on... maybe a water pistol though.

I think I'll be turning all the lights out and retreating to the bedroom. Can't stand the nonsense of trick or treaters but then I'm grumpy so it's hardly suprising.

One year I had a hanging dummy in my dark porch which lit up in all its gory glory when the bell was rung.

Trick or treating is SO jolly. I get to go to my pals' Hallowe'en parties, even though I don't have children. The kids go out trick or treating, and then we have chilli, and burgers, and stacks of wine.

It would be a shame if my pals' kids came back soaked in loo water.

I like the little ones going round (early on) but not the teengers who haven't even bothered to dress up, expect some people could become quite unnerved by it all.

we've got 5-6 families on the estate with young kids who really go for it, getting all dressed up, playing all the silly tricks that young kids that age think are scary, and quite happy to get a handful of sweeties for their efforts. We've also got a bunch of teenage louts who think it funny to egg your windows or car if they don't get bought off. I usually greet them with Max at my side, I don't know why but they tend not to argue with him

Same here paddywak, it's no longer trick or treat, it's an excuse for the teenagers to get drunk and demand money with menace. That is not an exaggeration, they do ask for money and if it isn't forthcoming you can find scratch marks on the car. They even scare the small children away.

Cover some brussel sprouts in chocolate....and give them as a treat :-)
