Visiting the dentist

I totally forgot I had a dental appointment today until I got a reminder on my phone so I did not have my toothbrush with me at work. I felt really bad visiting the dentist 'unclean', do you think the dentist expects clean teeth for a mid day appointment?

Never thought of that, probably because I was in such a rush when I realised. Think I will get a packet of gum for my desk as I have a couple more appointments, cheers

I explained I had been out yesterday when I went, I was given a small tube of Sensodyne and a toothbrush so I could go to the toilet and brush my teeth...

Sandwich for lunch followed by a couple of chunks of Cadbury's Dairy Milk to get rid of the bits, then an Extra Strong Mint. Sorted.

I think they'll have seen far worse than your slightly unclean teeth Haggis. Just imagine what greets the dentist when people with bad breath or weaping abscesses and ulcers open their mouths?

I usually have a packet of Wrigleys Extra in my bag for dentist visit booked after work even though I hate chewing gum.

Yes, I am with carrot99 on this one. Dentists expect people to clean their teeth when they see them and when they do not. I have heard of instances where patients have been asked to go and clean their teeth before they are seen. You would not want the dentist to say that to you, would you? I think I would die of embarrasment.
