does any one know anything about these sweetie necklaces!are they thread with cat gut ! i have one about 16 ins but not sure if genuine

I'd be very surprised if it's catgut, most necklaces are threaded on heavy cotton, or synthetic thread, these days.

They are not threaded with cat gut although it looks like a stretchy version of cat gut! I have the necklace and the bracelet and although it looks shabby when stretched it's actually very sturdy. They will re-string it for you if needed but I have had mine for over 7 years and I haven't had to use that service.

I have a fake and wanted to find out the differences. Google is good for finding websites which tell you how to spot the fakes.

Mine is genuine, it seems like a very strong elastic, I would think the cheaper ones might snap. I dont think cat gut is elastic is it ? But that is what it looks like.
