Chrysler Voyager radio code.

Having purchased a Voyager at the weekend, the radio is in "lockdown" because a previous owner put the radio code in wrong 3 times. The manual says that you need to keep the ignition on for 2 hours to clear the "lockdown". I tried this and it flattened my battery but still didnt clear the radio. I have correct radio code but it wont give me the option to put it in. Anyone got any ideas?

Next time you are on a long journey - over two hours in this case - switch your radio on as you start off, and after two hours, the radio should re-set itself, and accept the correct code.

this happened on my voyager,what i did was leave the radio on and disconnected the battery for a second,that should put it back to code input mode,then put code in and it should work.good luck
