I, as the author, understand that there have been a number of queries posted about this year's quiz, to which an answer has not been forthcoming. If the answers were expected from me, then I apologise. However, in the past, I have noticed that participants have been trying to get answers from each other.

Allow me to confirm that there are no errors in this year's quiz and some people who have already submitted their sheets have actually got the answer to Q 46 correct!

Now you've told us that, jumper, hardly anyone will bother sending their quiz sheets back. People have got to think they're in with a chance - and now we know we're not, we wont waste our stamps!

What a miserable lot you are!!!! It's a bit of fun to raise money for charity - it sounds like you are only in it for the prize, not the entertainment you get from doing it and the good your donation does. I also only have that one to find, but I shall send in my answers regardless as I want to know how well/bad I've done with the rest of it.

Some people have got the answer to Q 46 correct.
This doesn't mean they have got an all-correct entry, so you are surely still in with a chance even if you're missing one.

Clue 46 reads:-

Demented/cricketer rambler has no food in to cook (11,2,4,4,3)
I think the place name is probably an anagram of ramblerhasnofoodintocook because it is the right number of letters.

I always send my entries in anyway but I'm depressed to hear that more than one person has solved clue 46! I have been working on this quiz for months & have always taken a copy of it with me when I am travelling, just in case. My husband & I spent a very wet evening trawling round the countryside outside Edinburgh (250mls from home) back at the beginning of August but we did find the answer we were looking for.
