Hi there. My wife is a named driver on my car. She has recently made a claim. I am thinking about reinsuring my car for my sole use. Do i have to declare the claims made my wife on my previous policy. Thank you in advance.

Yes, because the claim was made under a policy which you held.
And to continue - your wife could not have made a claim under your policy, only you, as the policyholder could.

Another quick question. If I were to remove my wife from my insurance do i benefit in anyway?
Not necessarily IMO, the risk is rated on both drivers - if generally her record is better than yours, your premium could go up.

My record is clean. She has been involved in two incidents ( one in which was not liable and recovered all costs and another in which she shared liability).
