Swirly pictures
6 Answers
Ok, so this is a long shot...
When I was a young child, I remember making swirly pictures by putting some sort of paint in a bowl of water, swirlingi about and then laying the paper on the top of the water.
I am pretty sure that the paint will have been oil based (As it stayed on top of the water!) but I have no idea what itwas, where I can get it from, or if you can make something similar with food colouring or regualr paint(?)
I would really love to do one of these pictures with my little girl, so if anyone knows what it uses, I would be very grateful. Many thanks!

How about these sites. Basically if you put 'how to make marbled paper' into Google, you should find a whole host of advice. Good luck. I might make some of my own paper for Christmas now :-)
