2. Exercise more - get off the bus one stop early, get on one stop later; walk to the shops, don't drive. Try and walk at least 10,000 steps per day
There's no easy, quick way to diet. Eat sensibly (remember the fruit and veg) and exercise more.
I lost loads of weight after having my baby by cutting down on hot drinks (because I have loads of milk and sugar in them!), cutting out potatoes, only having wholegrain rice or pasta a couple of times a week, and avoiding rich sauces. Basically had lots of water, meat and fish with rice or salad or veg. Started walking everwhere too (mp3 player helps here!). Did yoga to tone up. It was really hard but well worth it. The best thing was having a milky way after a whole week of plain food and no sugar - tasted like the most richest belgian chocolate ever! Good luck! xxx
The best thing you can do is cut out all blatant sources of sugar. Increase your intake of fruit & veg and water. Make sure you ALWAYS have breakfast, and if you get hungry between meals dont starve yourself, you can snack just make sure its something healthy like a piece of fruit, some veggie sticks & hummus or a rice cake. This is very important as you need to keep your blood sugar levels steady. A good diet plan to follow is the GI diet, as its not a fad diet but something you can apply for the rest of your life.
If you do decided to follow the no sugar rule then heres some tips if you get a craving try and ride it out. Most cravings only last for 20 mins or so. If its really bad, try doing something to keep you occupied I find that I get cravings when watching telly. If you file your nails or something instead it keeps your mind busy. Alternatively sip some herbal tea, or brush your teeth I find the mintyness gets rid of my craving, plus everything tastes horrible after brushing your teeth so you wont want to eat! The first couple of weeks will be the hardest, but after a while you get used to it and it really isnt that bad, especially once you start to see the weight dropping off!
Finally, try and fit in exercise whenever you can, be it walking, housework or lunges & sit ups when youre watching the telly. And remember to drink loads of water and give your system a good flush out!
Good luck, I hope you achieve your goals
