So lately my friends have started calling me "smocklitzer" (spelling?). I have no idea what it means and they won't tell me. It sounds german to me but i'm not sure. Does anyone know german/german slang or can any one help me out with this?

Sounds a bit Yiddish really but without the correct spelling it's a bit of a non word really .
However schmecklich means tasty .
Schmuck is also a German word meaning jewellry ( bling basically )and also a Yiddish word for a foolish person.
Glitz is sparkle.
So gawd knows ..are you a sparkly jewellry wearing person who is very tasty or a complete twonk :))
It sounds a bit like the german equivalent of shirt-lifter.
Hi creston17,
It is definetely not a German word. I have never heard it being used as a nick name in German either.
I would also tend to Yiddish because of the "schmock" part.
Is it possible they've just made up the word to try and annoy you?
