Annoying Tasting

Is it just me, or is it annoying when people ask you to taste things, and won't tell you what it is?

When the conversation goes ...

"Here, what do you think of this?"

"What is it?"

"Just taste it, and see what you think."

"But what is it?"

"Go on, just taste it."

(tastes)

"Oh, no ... it's not nice."

"What's wrong with it?"

"It's possibly the worst custard I've ever tasted."

"It's Bechamel sauce."

"Oh. Well if I'd known that, I would've said it was very nice."

How can you tell if something is good or not, if you don't know what it's meant to be?

"Oh, no, that soup is not good. It tastes fishy."

"But it's fish soup."

"Oh. It's very good then."
