My dog won't settle with lampshade collar.
10 Answers
My Airedale Terrier had an operation on his rear left leg a few days ago. He just won't settle with a lampshade collar on which he needs to stop him licking
the wound.
We are having virtually sleepless nights. We have used DAP and Serene-UM liquid but he seems resistant to it. He paces around and won't sit or lie down.
Has anyone any ideas please? Thanks :-(

Unbelievably Tara my last dog, actually hooked her paw behind it and flicked it off (don't ask me how!) and so I kept it off. I did the same with Bruno my dog now and I just kept a very steely eye on them. I made up a bed for them next to mine and watched them like a hawk and if I heard any licking, I stopped them immediately. It worked for me, but I realise it may not work for everyone.
Try Procollar - you can order online and they deliver in a day or two.

Just had a look at those procollars, Lankeela. Thanks for posting that link. They look far more comfortable than the lampshade type ones. Will keep that in my favorites. When our Wolfies have to wear the normal lampshade / cone ones, they barely get through the door and have a dreadful time! This looks much better! Hugs!
