Videogame Nostalgia: Intros and Soundtracks
Altered Beast had the most awesome way to start a game ever (you are commanded to rise from your grave by Zeus). It also had a seriously cool soundtrack.
I thought we could have some fun with our favourite intros from games gone by?

If you want real nostalgia, I have an Osborne Executive, the first portable computer!
No hard disk, 2 5.25" floppy drives, one for the program, one for the data, and a 3 inch green screen. It runs CP/M, has a spreadsheet and word processor, but no games, unfortunately!
I'm trying to sell it ; several museums would love to accept it as a donation, but won't offer money.

I adore the soundtrack for Vib Ribbon on the PS1. So much so I ripped it onto my iPod. This is my favourite song from the game. Skip to 3 mins 30 for the start of the song. (intro and instructions shown before the song starts but are still great to watch for how it plays) The songs are supplied by a Japanese band Laugh and Peace. I doubt we'd see a release like this in the UK these days.
It was kinda one of the first music rhythm games and the best thing was when you get fed up of the games 6 songs, you could replace the disc with your own Cd's so the game was unlimited really. Pretty special for a 1999 game.
