My laptop is barely 2 years old, and its now making a whirring noise, which is barable(unsure spelling) in a wi-fi bar, but a lot noisier at home when watching as film.
should i expect a costly repair?

i turned the laptop around, removed every conceivable plate, until i found what looked like a fan, and i blew air into it, put the plates back, but still have a whirring noise. i only work in air conditioned places, and always on a hard surface. hence the mate looking at it on thursday
could it have sucked something into it perhaps? does it sound like something could be rubbing on the blades?

strange enough, the noise it almost non existent in the wi-fi bar i go to, but quite noisy at home when watching a film.
Watching video is quite an intensive thing for a laptop to do, as it's working harder the fan will run more than if you are just browsing the web.
Do you have a cat? My long haired cat seems to keep her spare coat inside my old pc.
