Clear up diskspace on Laptop.
12 Answers
Ive got about 3gb left on my C drive. I have no pictures, no videos, barely any games installed and somehow 66gb of my laptop is gone. How can i get the majority of this back? Ive used the diskclean up but it has only gained around 1gb.

You could empty the wastetbin.
Try ccleaner, but check the settings first to ensure you don't delete stuff you wish to keep.
You can get dioak analyser software to see what is taking all the space up. Could be useful.

Deleting programs will not save a lot of space (unless they are very large games).
You dont tell us what operating system you are using (Windows?, and if so what version).
Try turning OFF system restore and turning it back on again. This will get rid of all the old restore points which take up space.
Try turning off hibernation.
Do you perhaps have a D drive on your disk that is empty. Many laptops now come with a C drive and a D drive, and people fill up their C drive and leave the D drive empty (note your D drive may be your CD drive).
If you run Vista there is a program called CompCln that you can run to delete old files. I will tell you how to run it if you are running Vista.
Run a program like TreeSize Free to see what your largest folders are, you may have a large video file on your laptop you forgot about
