Are we all creatures of habit?

Do we eat the same thing on the same night each week?

... (go straight to 2 mins 15 secs)

"It's Thursday. We have steak on Thursday."

"You like chips and egg."

"On a Tuesday. I like chips and egg on a Tuesday. Today is Thursday."

"Well, pretend it's Tuesday."

Brilliant. Just brilliant.

my mum did - same menu the same day of every week. I do not.
Friday is more often than not becoming Chippy and Chinese night.

And Sunday is of course roast dinner. Goes without saying.

"Sunday is of course roast dinner. Goes without saying"

Ya, if someone invites me over ... otherwise it's foraging day ... pub, microwave, whatever.

You're welcome to come here JJ. It would mean you'd have to suffer the company of my sometimes slightly tedious father but he does make mean gravy.

All father's can be tedious, Evian.

They prattle on about golf, rugby, stuff in the News ...

But that's part of why we love them.

And then they say ... "So what have you been up to recently, darling?"

"Oh, yeah, like I'm SO not going to tell you, Daddy !!!"
In my case it's more like, "I already told you what I've been up to seven times Dad" and then he continues to moan about whoever happens to be on the tv screen. I still love the old codger though.
Question Author
LOL, Evian.

Daddies are SO the same, the world over.

I'm just thinking this through, Evian.

I wonder if honesty would ever work?

"What have you been up to, darling?"

"Well, I flew over to see [insert BF's name], got completely ratted, lost a fortune at the casino, had a shag in every room in his house, got ratted again, felt sick, came home, and here I am, hoping to nick some of your wine to see me through the week."

"That's nice dear. Could you pass the gravy?"
Friday night is rapidly becoming take-out night but that's about it I think...
