Two choices
Get them repierced
Or cork at the back of the ear and shove them in

I've forced mine in tens of times without problems
Try moistening the ear lobes and posts of the earrings with Vaseline, or perhaps Savlon as they may be a bit sore. Should slide in easily. You can wipe off the surplus after they are in. She really needs to wear them each day for a while. Even after twenty years if I don't wear my earrings for a week or so I can have a bit of a struggle.
Three months really isnt a long enough time for them to heal completely so that you can leave them out for long periods of time, The best thing to do is probably put the earrings in boiling water and clean the area and force them in so that they are clean and then use savlon on them for a few days. Or to get them repierced i think it is recommended by my piercer (not sure about other places) that to repierce the area should be left to heal for about 2-3 months beforehand. Hope this helps
If you can't see the whole at the front or the back I wouldn't try and force a stud through or anything. I do that with mine but i've had them pierced for years. If you try it may get infected so your best bet would be to go back and see about getting them re-pierced as others have suggested.
