Windows Mail password

I can`t remember the username or password for my Windows Mail. The computer has always remembered it because the box is ticked. For some reason within the last 30 mins, I am now being asked for my username and passpord. How can I retrieve it? I have Windows Vista (don`t know whether that has any relevance) I`ve tried re-starting but it hasn`t made any difference.

thanks for the reply AlBags. I`ve no idea why it was asking me for my details but after a bit of trial and error I found the right details. I`ve written them down now so that I don`t forget again.
