Listening to the Elton John song Honky Cat.
He clearly states..
You better get back honky cat
Living in the city ain't where it's at
It's like trying to find gold in a silver mine
It's like trying to drink whisky from a bottle of wine
Now I was recently watching a programme on channel 5 with Robert Llewellyn called How do they do it?
In the programme they were explaining how mirrors are made. Very interesting btw - Silver is the backing and they showed the whole process. Now it was to be noted that a small amount of gold is always found during the mining process and it is removed from the silver via electrolytic removal.
Does anyone have a contact number for Mr John to point out that in fact it's wholly feesible to find gold in a silver mine.
He wrote it in 1972. I'd hate to think he's been worrying all this time. Just like to set the matter right.
