BTW.. the green leaf of your poppy should be angled towards 11 o'clock.
I never wear a poppy because I don't believe in funerals, memorials or the concept of 'remembrance'. But I still put money in the collecting tins, as I'm happy to helping the living.

My Grand Father who served in WW1 always refused to buy a poppy. Never new why. After he died father told me the British Legion would not help his wife and family when he was in hospital with gun shot wounds.
wear mine from when I buy it!........simple!.......
I'm so happy to see Asda have gone back to stocking poppies with normal metal pins, instead of those poppies with green plastic that wouldn't pierce into anything. Common sense prevails against the health and safety numpties.
I don't wear a poppy either, but put money into the collection tins. In fact I try to put something into all the charities' collection tins. I spread it round!
I feel a bit like Chris I suppose. Our family don't do gravestones, or memorial stones, etc. either - it doesn't stop us remembering. We are all different though.
And I will certainly be wearing mine as my son is presently serving in the RAF.
so long as its on b4 11am on 11.11.11
I have one on my car dashboard that is on show every day till I buy another in November, and I have a large one stuck in one of my indoor plants that's been there for 2 years.
