Just wanted to say since I have been on my own I find this site a life saver. It seems like a nice friendly little club where you can go and have a chat about almost anything. A real pick-me-up at times so thanks everyone.

My problem is that I get occasional casual work which often has early starts. For example, in a couple of weeks time I'll have to get up at around this time, even though by body clock will be telling me that it's time to go to bed. (I'll also be working 15 hour days, so I'll need all the sleep I can get!).
I have to get up shortly after 7.30 as Bonnie, my dog is going mad for her walk. Don't know why I ever got her into the habit of an early walk. When on the police I worked 12 hour shifts, 7 to 7 earlies one week and then 7 to 7 lates the nevt. It certainly knocks your inner clock haywire. Mind you, since my husband died I have often wished I could return but reckon 65 is a bit old for these modern ones!!
