Has anyone had a baby turned from breech position to how a baby should be before it engages for delivery.

I am only 26 weeks but my baby has been in breech position for about 10 weeks - hope it doesnt get comfortable. Just wondering if anyone has experienced "turning" and how was it - painful, easy, did the baby turn back again.

If the baby is in the same position by 36 weeks then I may need to consider this turning procedure.

Cheers

Don't worry too much, they chop and change quite often, and the nurses know a few ways to turn them nearer the time. Hope it all goes well for you xx
Yes, Mini Boo was. I was advised to do weird "exercises" in an effort to turn her, which were all in vain as she didn't- right up until delivery, then she just did.

Please don't panic, as the great sqad says...it's no big deal.

Hmmm I dont really want to be having a feet first baby ... Ive heard so many tales. This serves me right as my first born was out within the hour ... no problems whatsoever. TYPICAL!!
BOO...thank you.....;-)
I seriously wouldn't worry about it. 9 times out of 10 the baby turns round on their own anyway, and if it doesn't? Well, by that stage he or she is coming out one way or another anyway, just grin (??!) and bear it, let nature and those in the know do what they do and all will be fine.

Honest!
Many babies stay breech until late into pregnancy, there are many things we can do to get them to turn naturally. Your local midwife can help with this or look on the internet for turning breech babies, if your midwifes are no help.

But Walking creates movement in the pelvis which helps baby to turn as the the upright stance provides more room making it easier for baby to turn.

Also when you are upset, stress or tensed up, so is your baby. Your baby can sense when something is wrong and will even turn to a breech position until you are ready or stop being upset, stress or tense.
My baby was bridged at 26 then he was sideways and he finally turned at 36 weeks. My midwife told me to try bounce of the yoga ball and I also did prenatal yoga. Another trick is to swim. Babies can turn at the very last minute. It has happened to my friend!

Thanks peeps!

I know I have loads of time for it to turn but wanted to see if anyone had experienced the "turn"
I had it with my first daughter at 36 weeks (after paying £140 to a chinese herbalist for moxi acupuncture treatment that was 80% chance of working...but thats another tale..) as she was breech. It didn't work. It was very painful and personally I would not do it again. I had gas and air, two surgeons tried to 'turn' her externally but she didn't budge. I had been told that there was a 50% chance of this working but the midwife who was in with me said that in 14 years she had NEVER seen a successful ECV!
I still think that she was breech due to me doing so much driving for my job during my pregnancy so no slouching on the couch!!

Hope bubs turns soon for ya

ps...I ended up having an elective c-section which wasn't half as bad as I'd expected so don't worry bout that either :0)
