I thought i had a virus, but none of the anti virus programs can find anything. I Received some very helpful advice from here, but nothing seems to be working.

Now the computer boots up, but takes ages and ages. Before it took about a minute to fully load and now it takes over 10. I checked startup and nothing out of the ordinary is there. I checked processes and nothing is using all the CPU or RAM. I am now at my wits end. Is there any piece of advice anyone could give??

Windows 7 with 4gb RAM.

One program that you could try is soluto http://www.soluto.com/ which is quite useful even if you don't have any problems, and it might show what is taking all the time but no guarantees.

Is the hard drive being accessed constantly during the 10+ mins?
You say you checked startup.
was that from start/programmes/startup?
If it was ,try start/run/msconfig/startup.
scroll down the list and see what is
starting. Any that you don't need, remove
the tick from the box then restart your computer
and see if that helps.

How do I know if the HD is being accessed? I used msconfig/startup.
down load (free)cc cleaner
close your browser run the cleaner then run the registry "scan for issues"get rid of what it finds but back up first (it will do this for you) then run run tools "start up" and disable what you don't need to run on start up
Save yourself wasting lots more time.
If not already done back up your personal files.
Re-install your operating system.

Bazinga !

I have thought about re-installing the operating system, but I don't want to lose my Kaspersky install. I don't have any disks either.
There are plenty of free AV packages that will do just as good a job as Kaspersky
