These people that rip out lead from churches, Memorials, Graves, when caught do you think a deterrent would be to take their Vans / cars to the scrap yards & crush them, & also a heavy fine?

Some toerag ripped the lead flashing from my porch. If it was up to me I'd shoot them. Well maybe not, but they don't seem to get the punishment they deserve.
