Can anyone help me? I have an HP laptop that has no numbers at the side
only on the top, I don't know where the number lock is to enable me to write
in another language. Thanks.

there should be a key with 'fn' on it, try that.

No the fn key didn't work.
num lock is normally on the numeric pad on the side.

IF you want to write in another language you need to go into control panel and into the keyboard settings, Im assuming you are on windows.
on windows 7 its in control panel>regions and language
The posts here suggest that you use the 'Fn' key AND also click on something as well:
