Bedtime

Went to church this morning. Weather was miserable so after lunch so got into dressing gown and had a lovely duvet day. Not a television fan but did watch Downton. Have just gone to bed proper now. I find Sunday can really drag.

It is Monday now so in a few hours I wil have walked th dog and will then be in the coffee shop with my friend setting the world to rights! Then my granddaughter wants to have a baking day with me on Tuesday so hav that to look forward to. Sorry if I appeared a bit of a dreary moaner.
Hi spotit I see you go to church - I do too ... but I go to our evening service. Are there not friends there you can get together with? What kind of church is it - do people of your own age go? We have a ladies fellowship group (which I organise) and we have 20 members who are now all friends, and look out for each other. Why not organise a Sunday afternoon group of other widows or people on their own, advertise it if necessary, we have a widows group in our town with Saturday meetings which are very well attended, they have different speakers on all subjects and also outings.
Finally Spotit, if you are spiritually minded there is no need for me to tell you that God loves and cares about you.

I certainly will, Bobbisox as she is just great. Thanks Ann86. I certainly know God cares for me as he has helped me through so much. I was thinking of maybe getting a pen friend. I wouldn't have the self confidence to organise a group. I really am happy most of the time, just miss the companionship of my husband.
