I have downloaded two things from the net that I tried to play them in Windows media player but it says locating codecs - can not find codecs then plays the film sound but crap graphics instead of a picture.

The files I'm trying to play are:

Le.Samourai.1967.DVDRip.XviD-StEfX

lost.109.hdtv-lol

Please help!

Thanks!

take it ur downloading from a p2p program? Try searcing for codecs on that, i downloaded one that said every codec you'll ever need for mdeia polayer or something, not sure of the exact name as ive deleted it now, they come as a prog which installs them for you.

You must be from Ire spelling craic right!

The easiest way to get round problems with codecs is to use a decent media player. Just about anything is better than Windows Media Player but VLC is absolutely wonderful - codec problems are suddenly a thing of the past! It's a free download, from here:
