web cam working ok but when i went on tonight a bell rang like a phone can anyone tell me why this is happening may i add i am new to this. thanks

You've got the latest messenger 7.5.

The bell ringing is a new feature of msn 7.5 that rings when you start a conversation with voice. If you want to disable it then go to tools>options>Alerts and sounds and untick the box that says.."Play a ring sound when you send or recieve an invitation for a conversation with voice."
