Your Unattractive Friend

There was something on the telly today suggesting that women like to go out with unattractive friends, because it make them look more attractive.

Is that really true??

Okay, I know that all ABers choose friends who are friendly, regardless of their looks, and that will probably kill the thread stone dead, as everyone fights over the moral high ground.

But ... isn't the opposite true? If you want to be attractive, aren't you better off in a group of good looking people? You look attractive by association.

anyway, back to the op, yes i do think that a group of women will always have an ugly overweight mate tagging along with them. but thats not really choice just the odds innit ? 1 in 8 women are.........aarggggh (mrs kou/frying pan alert)

I always thought my sister did that. Although I suppose it could be that she just didn't want any possibliity of me making out with one of her friends.

... rather than "ugly overweight mate tagging along"

That's the thing though. You don't dump your mates because they've put on 4 stone...and you don't not like someone because they're not the most attractive.

why would a person who already looks attractive want to be "attractive by association"? Surely it's only the unattractive who would want to?
