Is it possible to get 'done' going towards a gatso speed camera, when the camera is facing you on the other side of the road? if not whats the purpose of there being lines on both sides of the road?
Thanks,Tom.

These have the large ruler markings on the road and can be identified by the square lense in the bottom corner of the unit's front face.
The newer Gatso Truvelo face the front of the car and have a digital camera in them. These generally have three narrow white lines painted close to each other going across the lane, although some still have the ruler markings. They have the two round lenses near the centre of the unit's front face.
Usually there are lines on both sides of the road because the camera can be turned round (especially if the camera is in the central reservation of a divided road).
Sometimes, when the camera is on the side of the road lines are painted in both lanes just to scare the opposite flowing traffic.
