a gift idea please ...
4 Answers
I posted this recently on "shopping", but haven't had any responses. I will be going back to work soon after a long lay-off with a broken ankle. My friend at work has been so helpful and kind to me, coming round to see me at home, e.mailing me with all the office gossip, and covering for part of my job, she's been a real mate in my time of need. I'd like to buy her a present to say " thank you" to her. I haven't the faintest what to buy her. I don't feel that flowers would quite fill the bill, and she's not a chocolate eater.
Hope you can offer some suggestions,
Chox.

i reckon a voucher is too impersonal for this

Lush do nice hampers anyway - got one for the M-i-L for her birthday and she was well impressed (fortunately!).
What about arranging a day out together. I took my best friend out last Summer, we hit the out of town shopping centre (had coffee & cake there) then drove through the countryside to a gorgeous late lunch/afternoon tea with sandwiches, scones & more cake. I paid for the meals! Or even treat her to the cinema/theatre & a meal.
