Brent Knoll was known by the Romans as The Mount of Frogs and stands as an outcrop on the Mendip Hills. It is 449 feet tall - some 137 meters high.

The Knoll dates from the Jurassic times 300 million years ago when dinosaurs, primitive mammals and strange birds roamed the area.

So, I doubt it.

But it has been 'sculpted' by human agency - there's a hillfort on top. These are usually referred to as Iron Age a.k.a. Celtic but most asre earlier, dating from the Bronze Age. Many hillforts made use of outstanding natural hilltops.

ty tatty for the pix, I was under the impression that there were burials hidden in hill.Does anyone know anything about this. What about Glastonbury tor or burrow mump does anyone know anything about these. I would like to sound a bit more knowledgable to my inlaws when they come down.
