on The One Show tonight a clip was shown of the next episode of Downton Abbey. It featured Matthew Crawley - who appeared to be crippled for life until halfway through the last episode - dancing so effortlessly with Lady Mary that he could have been a contestant on Strictly. What a joke! Downton's writer/creator Julian Fellowes admitted he's not sure if ITV will commission a third series. I wonder if they've changed their minds after seeing how bad the second is comppared to the first....

I hope no third series, I'm all done with Downton now. Typical ITV, they have a success on thier hands and seem to go over the top with it.

The whole thing has been rubbish. Had it been written by an unknown, it would languishing on the slush pile - or more likely in the dustbin.

Enjoyed the first couple of episodes but the story has now moved far too quickly and spoilt it - what a shame.

Sorry but I love Downton. The costumes, the house and the cheesy unbelievable storylines - perfect for a Sunday evening viewing. More please!!!

i like it, but the storylines have gone off the boil, think a third series a waste.
shame because it's one of the few things, at least last year, that was worth watching

Yes, after the next episode, which is the last, I think that Downton has run it's course - I've enjoyed the second series - but it was definitely not as good as the first series - so let Sybal run off with the chaffeur, Mary marry Matthew and live happily ever after, other daughter who's name escapes me, find someone to marry etc, and maybe Maddie Smith could have her own series, as I think that she was wonderful!!

I like it but the second series isn't quite as good .It's easy viewing for a Sunday evening though .I don't think they can wring much more out of it .
Maggie Smith and her bon mots made compulsive viewing .Wonderful actress .

why does the maid Anna not call Mr. Bates by his first name John? when they are obviously an item....
