Thirst and Dizzyness

Hi all, Hubby has been complaining of feeling thirsty today, he had a can of soda, a cup of tea and then a pint of water. Soon after he complained of feeling dizzy and has gone to bed. Anyone any ideas as to whats going on with him, hes 38 has a physical job so is fit and well apart from an underactive thyroid which is treated with 125mg thyroxine daily. He says he doesn't feel unwell as such just lightheaded.

Has he been tested for Diebetes?

Same as Carlton, tell him to get checked for Diabetes. Constant thirst is one of the main symptoms.

I wondered that myself carlton due to the thirst but would it come on so quickl and what are other symptoms?

Just to say, you don't have to go to the GP for this, there are many pharmacies that now do this simple test. I had mine done at Boots.

Does his ankles swell due to too much water? You can test this by pressing your finger against his shin bone and if it leaves a dent or impression in the skin, then it`s very likely diabetes and he should see his GP ASAP.

He might just be coming down with a cold. I am always thirsty when I am brewing for a cold.

I think there is a situation where you can drink too much especially if it is all at once as you described it. Maybe that is what made him feel dizzy. Best to get it checked though.

From what you say.....no big deal.

Never known diabetes come on over night.

Monitor the situation.

Probably ate a very salty meal.

That always gives me a raging thirst.
