I have a strange problem in that my computer will burn a disc as normal in iTunes but when I insert a pre-recorded disc in the drive, it appears to load but does not show in iTunes and I can't play or import the music. Any ideas please.

In your iTunes Preferences, under 'General', have you got 'Show CD' chosen from the options available where it says 'when you insert a CD'?

if you know where a track has been saved, can you right click on it and Open with> iTunes? That usually works with mine (though only one track at a time, which may be long-winded).

Thanks snags. That sort of worked. I checked in preferences and the settings were correct so I changed them and then back again and the cd appeared in the menu on the left as normal. But when I ejected the disc and tried again, it failed to appear once more. Strangely though if I close iTunes and then open it again, the disc is showing. How odd is that?

Thanks again snags. I have registered with the site you suggested. I have searched on the subject but so far I haven't found a post about anything similar. Will widen the search.
